Blue knit and Stripes

image

Hello all,

This week a crew neck maxi dress is featured.  The inspiration of this knit dress came from an image located online. I loved the black and white checkered print maxi dress in the picture on the right with it’s contrasting orange yoke. I decided to make this maxi dress with a blue contrasting piece and black and white stripes. I found the fabric at Fine Fabrics in Norcross, Georgia. I love this store because of the variety of items at decent prices.

I have made maxi dresses before however, this is one of my favorites. I could wear this dress every day and be extremely happy. The dress is accentuated with handmade earrings made and wrapped with newspaper and gloss and a handcrafted chain link necklace made by What’s She Creating? Enterprises. The model is wearing a black heel and a handmade beaded bracelet.

We hope you enjoyed our designs. We are in the process of creating our own accessory line in the near future!

Until next time ….. create your style!

Another DIY Maxi Dress

A maxi dress is extremely comfortable and lightweight during these heated summer days. I decided to created a few more for the summer wardrobe. I slightly used Mccalls commercial pattern 7046 view B to create the neckline and sleeves but made many alterations to the waist, hip and length of the dress.

I paired the dress with a DIY mustard printed sailor’s scarf. What have you been creating lately?
